a shared commitment to oral health
Lack of dental care providers, poverty, and low oral health literacy are just a few of the reasons why tooth decay is the #1 chronic disease among American children.
The 53 nonprofit partners that make up our Dental Resource Program demonstrate our shared commitment to oral health education, prevention of pediatric dental disease, and addressing barriers to dental care for children across the country.
We are excited to share what we accomplished together 2022!
expanding access to care
77% of our program members are located in areas where there simply aren't enough dental care providers to meet the needs of the community.
They go above and beyond the typical dental office to address barriers that would otherwise prevent kids from getting the preventive and restorative dental care they need to be healthy.
Our donors help our nonprofit members stretch their budgets to serve more kids each year by providing resources including:
- Grants for kids in need of restorative dental care
- Donations of dental products and equipment
- Educational materials to help families learn how to prevent dental disease
you can call it a comeback!
Since the pandemic, our members have battled against shutdowns, heightened infection control standards, staffing shortages, limited access to schools, supply chain issues, inflation, and fear.
With help from our dedicated supporters, America's ToothFairy has been there for them every step of the way, emphasizing preventive services such as screenings and oral health outreach events.
This year, our members served 15% more kids on average than the record-breaking year before! All signs for 2023 show even more growth in the provision of resources and expanding access to care.
We hope you'll join us this year to meet the oral health needs of struggling families and communities that are ready to come back stronger than ever before.
