With one in five kids not visiting a dental office regularly, education is our first line of defense against tooth decay.
Our Smile Guardian donors make it possible to provide printed educational materials and, in some cases, dental hygiene supplies in Protect Your Smile education resource kits for communities that need them the most.
We experienced tremendous growth in this initiative during 2022 and are excited to share these highlights with you!
oral health action heroes to the rescue!
MGE: Management Experts' generous donation in the spring of 2022 helped us create new superhero-themed kits just in time for back-to-school events in 10 locations across the U.S.
These kits empowered oral health advocates to reach 10,000 kids and their caregivers! Read more about this here...
FY2022 smile guardian highlights
Patterson Dental sponsored 30 kits for organizations serving children experiencing homelessness or in foster care.
Cranberry made it possible to distribute 50 kits to five nonprofit dental clinics.
Other generous Smile Guardians included:
- Aetna, who sponsored 50 education kits for organizations in Louisiana.
- Dr. Sam Glick of Cleveland Smile Center, whose support provided 12 kits impacting 600 children.
- Delta Dental of North Carolina sponsored Storytime Smiles, which provided 10 kits to libraries in underserved communities in North Carolina.
