Hi there, Im not sure what happened but all of a sudden this message keeps popping up:

"Embedded colour profile in this document will be discarded, because your colour settings are configured for Adobe Illustrator 6.0 Compatible colour management.

Embedded: U.S Web Coated (SWOP) v2"

Screen Shot 2018-07-26 at 15.23.35.png

When I open files that that haven't been opened in a while in illustrator the message pops up and it changes the colours and makes them look funny in the document and when I save them as different file formats as well the colours are different. I work in the latest version of the cloud in South Africa so not sure why all of a sudden the colours are funny or if there was an update that has caused this issue but don't know what to do. Please help!

Change your Color settings to something that includes U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2.

Using 6.0 for color settings is actually setting it to No Colormanagement.

This sounds like it is document specific which should mean that if you go to Edit>Color Settings while the document is open and under Settings: change it from Emulate Adobe® Illustrator® 6.0 to whatever settings that is listed for South Africa and it should then correct itself.

The screen shot is just to show where the setting is located. Make sure that you switch to the setting appropriate for South Africa.

It would be better not to select the "General Purpose", but rather either the Web or Print setting - whichever applies best.

And then make sure all the profile mismatches "Ask when ..." are turned on.
