How do I enable Full Disk Access on my Mac?
Purpose
The Full Disk Access permission is a security feature introduced in macOS Mojave (10.14) that prevents non-authorized applications from accessing removable volumes. Since macOS 13 Ventura, Active Backup for Business requires full access to your disks to perform backups. If you're using earlier versions of macOS, you need to allow Full Disk Access only when you want to back up external hard drives or SSDs.
Resolution
- Click on the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.
- Select System Preferences.
- Go to Security & Privacy > Privacy and click Full Disk Access from the left panel.
- Select Active Backup for Business Agent. If the lock at the bottom left is locked, click it to unlock the Privacy pane. If you cannot find Active Backup for Business Agent, proceed to the following steps.
- Click the plus (+) icon and navigate to Applications. In the left panel, find Active Backup for Business Agent and click Open.
- Confirm that the option is selected and then close the window.
