We are unable to publish any of our documents via the online service on both InDesign 2023 and 2024
The problem started yesterday for us and is continuing to today, we have read many of the posts that cover this and attempted some of the soutions posted, such as loging in and out of our adobe accounts etc but the problem continues, we have tried multiple devices, duplicating the files, packaging the files but all continue to fail on export, even publishing a singular blank page fails.
We recieve the following error messages, mainly error #14 but sometimes #18 and the ID number varies
An error occurred while uploading your document. Please try again.
An error occurred while uploading your document. Please try again.
Is there an issue with the Adobe server at the moment?
We are based in London, is anyone else suffering with this issue?
Any help would be greatly appriceated

Hello XavierD44406676
Its funny you should have the same issue, the very same thing I posted about in Novemeber 2023 happened again to several of our users last week again nearly a year later!
As per the time in 2023 we spoke straight away with Adobe but had to use the adobe back end team to help resolve the issue quickly. From what I understand it is due to the amount of space on your Adobe Creative Cloud account, as a quick fix try deleteing from the published documents when you view the publish

Thank you Steve, this is what we had found which has led us to believe the system is down but we have not seen any status reports from Adobe to surgest this over the past 24 hours.

Has any one managed to find solutions? I too ran into error 14 then 18 and not even Adobe's chat service is able to provide answers.

Hi @xavierd44406676,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing these frustrating errors.
Error code 14 generally indicates that the Server is temporarily unavailable and suggests that you try again later.
Could you please share a bit more about the steps you took before encountering these errors? Also, if you’ve tried any troubleshooting steps on your end and what version of InDesign and operating system you use?
Moreover, you can still try the suggestion in the article: Upload error while publishing InDesign document (https://adobe.ly/3AodGj3)
We’re here to help and will wait for your response.
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

If that doesn't work you will possibly need the back team at adobe to look into your account.
Hope that helps

Hello, you're absolutely right. Finally got to someone at Adobe who knew of what to do and did was exactly that. Too many published documents which had to be cleared. Apprecaite your insight. Hopefully this thread can save many users in the future. x

Its 2025 now, and I have been experiencing the same problem with indesign publish online for 2 weeks. Error #14 appears. I have already cleared my dashboard, logged in again to Adobe, cleaned my creative cloud in total, but the problem remains. No connection to the server. What else can I do.

Hello @Nicky257677084me7
I can confrim this has happened to me and other collegues multiple times since Novemeber 2023, each time I have had to speak with Adobe directly, firstly on chat then I have been called, they have always advised me that it is a back end issue and it will have to be fixed by the Adobe team.
The only short term solution we had for publishing was using another team members adobe account whilst we waited for this to be fixed.
