Photos appear pixelated/blurry while editing

I just got a new iPad 12.9 with the intention to make the switch from desktop to mobile only. Lightroom in general is a breeze to use and I enjoy how quick and intuitive everything works.
What's strange, however, is that images get pixelated/blurry as soon as you start dragging some of the sliders during editing – and the moment you let go of the slider the photo jumps back to full resolution.
It's particularly noticeable for e.g. the color mixer or clarity and texture. Especially for something like the latter (clarity and texture) this is quite a problem as it makes comparing different values and judging the effect of the changes right away pretty challenging (as clarity and texture are impossible to judge when the image is pixelated)
One could say that this is a perfomance issue. And I wouldn't be surprised given the size of the RAWs from my Alpha 7r. However, the same RAWs can be edited without any of the hiccups described above on my Pixel 6 (Android 12) and my 2016 MacBook Pro (which are arguably far less powerful than the M1 iPad). I'm already using the Smart Previews, but switching to those hasn't really changed anything for me.
Are other iPad users experiencing the same issue?
I'm surprised that this hasn't come up in this forum (or maybe I just haven't found a related thread), but it affects my workflow quite a bit.

Thanks a lot for your reply Rikk!
I haven't encountered the problem that's mentioned in the linked thread yet, but it sounds like a similar issue and might be technically related.
Today I discovered that photos also blur whenever you start drawing a mask with a brush.
It's not as extreme as with e.g. changing the clarity of a photo, but still noticeable and slightly annoying. And again: None of this is a problem on my phone with the same assets

Just to add some additional context here: I attached a quick video that shows the issue when changing the clarity of a photo (smart previews are enabled)

same stuff happens on my 11" M1 iPad Pro
should definitely NOT be related to the ipad's performance and it's very annoying. Honestly if Pixelmator Photo had local adjustments I'd say goodbye to Lightroom...

I'm pretty sure I read about this issue on another thread a free weeks ago, but cannot find it. Pretty sure.a video was attached there also.

This happens to me as well and it seems like it is a Lightroom for iPad issue/feature. I hoped that they would have solved this by now, but unfortunately.
Did you manage to find a workaround for this?

I'm having the same problem. In iPad Pro M2 11 inch.
Is Adobe unwilling to solve this problem?

Same behaviour on my 12.9" M2 iPad with 16gb ram, makes it unusable as you're essentially guessing your way through each slider.

Same here with my M1 ipad pro 11'' just bought to have possibility to use more Adobe products, so a little dissapointed. What's interesting no such behaviour on my Android phone with worse hardware. All is smooth on Android.
