Eures Sweden teachers recruitment team is part of the Swedish Public Employment Services and are cooperating with Municipalities all over Sweden. We are mainly looking for Preschool Teachers and Primary School Teachers with a teaching license in their home country.
You will be directly employed without any intermediator and the employers will assist you with the relocation process. Salaries offered are according to collective agreements, individual experience and abilities. The amount will be discussed with employers on an individual basis.
General Information
In order to be eligible for a permanent position as a teacher, you need to apply and be granted a teaching license. To be able to get a this licence, you first need to get your qualifications recognized with the Universitet och Högskoleråd (UHR). You also need to have language skills in either Swedish, Danish or Norwegian. If you do not speak one of these languages than you need to start learning Swedish. As soon as you have proven your Swedish language skills on C1 level, it is possible to apply for a teaching certificate. The Swedish National Agency for Education, Skolverket , is is the central administrative authority for the public school system, publicly organised preschooling, school-age childcare and for adult education and responsible for issuing teachers certificates.
Fortunately, we are working with Municipalities who want to make an exception on the language skills and are willing to offer employment for one year at a time. This way they get to know you and you get to learn the language at the same time. It is a win-win situation.
