What brought you to Flagler College?

I am from Columbia, South Carolina, and I started at Flagler College in Fall 2020. When I was looking for a school to pursue my bachelor's degree, I knew I needed a school that would work well with my home-work-life balance. I wanted to attend Flagler College because of the structure of the coursework.

What's your most memorable memory during your time at Flagler College?

My most memorable memory at Flagler was a conversation I had with the late Dr. Graham. I had started Dr. Graham’s class two weeks before my father gained his angel wings. We had an exam in her class the following week. I did not do well on that exam, and I honestly was rethinking my decision to go back to school. Dr. Graham reached out to me and let me know she admired my dedication to my education during such a tough time. She allowed me to retake my exam. She gave me half credit for the answers that I got incorrect, and I got an A on that exam. I was so grateful and humbled by the compassion that she showed me. It let me know that I made the right decision by picking Flagler College.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

To the future Flagler Saints, please communicate with your professors. They are amazing! When reviewing your syllabus, do not get overwhelmed by the workload; focus on one assignment at a time. This will help you be successful in your classes and throughout your college career. From one Flagler Saint to another, I wish you success and prosperity in your future goals.

Kelli Greene

Major: Accounting

What brought you to Flagler College?

I am a fourth-generation Floridian, and I was raised in Madison, Florida where my family has lived for over 100 years. I started at Flagler in August 2020. I wanted to be a part of a program that would allow me to work and go to school without any conflicts. Flagler College at TCC provided the perfect schedule with several different programs to choose from. I knew I wanted a business degree, and the accounting program was exactly what I needed.

What is most memorable from your time at Flagler College Tallahassee?

The pandemic made going back to school pretty interesting, especially having to wear a mask to every class and never knowing what your professors or classmates really look like underneath. Finally being able to see everyone's smiling faces made for a great memory.

What advice would you give incoming students?

Time management is key! Do your best to stay on top of your assignments and reading, and the rest will follow.

Congratulations, Class of 2022!
