The Championship

The 99th Westchester Open at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, N.Y., takes place July 19-20 over 54 holes of stroke play. A cut to the low 40 players and ties will take place following the first round.

Gary Player designed GlenArbor and proudly calls it “his masterpiece” among the 325 golf courses he has designed throughout the world.

When Player constructed the course, he made sure to maintain all the magnificent characteristics that nature already made.

The 99th Westchester Open field contains 11 past champions looking to add their name to the trophy once again.

Rob Labritz, GlenArbor

This year Labritz has won the 111th Massachusetts Open, the Metropolitan Professional Championship and competed in the 2021 PGA Championship. The two-time PGA Championship Low Club Pro (2010 & 2019) was named the Met PGA's Teacher of the Year recently. Labritz is looking for a GlenArbor repeat, having won the Westchester Open in 2016 at his home club.

Paul Pastore, Fairview

Pastore, the 2020 Westchester Open champion, is in the field again, aiming to become the event's first back-to-back champion since Bruce Zabriski (1997-98).

Matthew Fields (a), Quaker Ridge

Fields finished atop the leaderboard in the 66th Ike MGA Stroke Play Championship for his first MGA victory.

Alex Beach, Westchester

Beach has been one of the hottest club professionals in the country over the last several years, having qualified for the PGA Championship four times in the last five years and winning both the PGA Professional Championship and Assistant PGA Professional Championship in 2019.

Frank Bensel, Century

Three-time Assistant PGA Professional champion and two-time Westchester Open champion continues to top leaderboards and this year competed in both the PGA Championship and Senior PGA Championship.

Christian Cavaliere (a), Mahopac

After placing T2 at the Mittelmark Invitational and T3 at the 66th Ike MGA Stroke Play Championship, Cavaliere is aiming for another top finish for the season.

Ned Zachar (a), Glen Arbor

The 2020 MGA Senior Amateur champion carries plenty of course knowledge and experience into the championship.
