102 Westchester Amateur Championship July 6-8th I Paramount Country Club I New York, NY

The Championship

The 102nd Westchester Amateur Championship at Paramount Country Club in New City, N.Y., takes place July 6-8.

Following qualifiers for each division (Amateur, Senior Amateur and Super Senior Amateur), the top players advanced to match play.

The Course

Paramount Country Club (formerly known as Mountain View Farm and Delwood Country Club) is an A.W. Tillinghast design that was originally founded by Adolph Zukor.

In 1948, the estate was sold to a group of businessmen from New York, who renamed the course Dells Golf and Country Club to then Dellwood Country Club.

In 2009, the Mandelbaum Family took over and hired Jim Urbina to redesign the course, not only to add new features but to bring back features from Tillinghast. Urbina, along with Tom Doak, were named the “Architects of the Year” by Golf Magazine.

Paramount Country Club has won numerous awards from Golf Week as one of the Best Classic Courses to Golf Magaizne’s Best U.S. Private Renovation.
