Nepean Festival of Art and Design 2022

Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School in partnership with Penrith City Council and the Zonta Club of Nepean Valley invite artists and students working, living and / or studying in the Penrith LGA to submit works for exhibition and the chance to win a range of prizes. Sponsorship to the value of $4300.

OPEN CATEGORY​

  • 1st prize​​ $1000.00 - cash
  • 2nd prize​ $550.00 - comprising $200 cash and $350 in vouchers
  • 3rd prize​ $350.00 - comprising $100 cash and $250 in vouchers

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CATEGORY – YEARS 10, 11 & 12

  • Exhibition Awards and Supper Friday 11/11/22 6-9pm. Entry Fee $20 Adults and $10 for exhibiting artists and students. Family entry ( 2 adults+ 1 Child ) $45
Covid Safe Catering

Catering / Supper for the event will be provided via individually prepared and sealed 'Bento Style' boxes.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Fee: 7-12 school students’ entries are free.

  • All single open entries incur a fee of $25.
  • Cost for submission of 3 works is $50
  • Tertiary Students $10 per entry

2. Submissions are limited to three entries per individual, must be an original piece of art, created by an eligible participant in the past 12 months.

3. Submissions must be accompanied by a completed entry form including a photograph of the art work. Details provided in this form will be used to contact winners.

4. No entries or alterations to entries will be accepted after the catalogue has been compiled.

5. Art works must be clearly labelled with the title, the artists name, contact details and sale price if applicable. Works available for sale will be subject to a 20% commission.

6. For art works being submitted for sale please provide BSB and Account No. so that proceeds can be paid by bank transfer.

7. Sizes below are the maximum whether framed or unframed. If unframed, must be mounted on foam core. Maximum size = 1.5m on the longest side. All framed works must have 'D' rings.

8. The event organisers reserve the right to hang or showcase the art work as they see fit, . Event organisers reserve the right to refuse inappropriate material.

9. Decisions made by the judging panel are final.

10. All care will be taken by the organisers but organisers will not be held responsible for loss or damage of the art work at exhibition or in transit. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.

11. No responsibility is taken for uncollected works.

12. GST/tax – It is the personal responsibility of artists to determine their taxation status (as a hobbyist or professional artist) and to send the appropriate contribution to the ATO if their work is sold.

13. Indemnity – By signing the entry form you indemnify staff of Nepean CAPA High School and members of the Zonta Club of Nepean Valley against actions for artists breach of copyright.

14. Submission of the entry form signifies that you have read and accepted these conditions of entry.

The 'Open Entry' form is a two part submission process. Clicking on the link 'Open Entry' below takes you to the 'General Submission' form. On that form is a link that takes you to a TriBooking page. Select 'Artwork Registration' and follow the prompts. Once you have completed payment, record the receipt number and return to the main submission page. Complete the upload process.
