Awareness Campaigns 2022 HIGHLIGHTS

awareness leads to action

In 2022 we partnered with corporate sponsors to build awareness about oral health issues and inspire others to take action.

We hope the highlights listed below will encourage you to engage in one of our upcoming campaigns to help people understand the importance of oral health and the habits that threaten it.

What's so bad about vaping?

Throughout the month of February, hundreds of educators and advocates joined us to tell teens and their parents about the health risks of vaping.

In addition to a colorful webpage, sayno2vaping.org, the campaign included free downloadable resources for use in the classroom.

Hundreds of students submitted entries to our meme contest, which spread awareness of the consequences of vaping on social media. You can see some of the best entries at sayno2vaping.org.

2022 Anti-Vaping Campaign Sponsor

smile drive matched giving campaign

In honor of National Children's Dental Health Month, our friends at SmileMakers doubled the impact of donations to our Smile Drive toothbrush fund.

The Smile Drive campaign serves two purposes: to collect dental hygiene supplies for families in need and to spread awareness about the oral health disparities in the U.S.

Although the campaign runs year-round, National Children's Dental Health Month is the most popular time to participate.

my smile matters

In October 2022, we launched our first Dental Hygiene Month campaign to promote why smiles matter for overall good health and success in life, and the value dental hygienists bring to the health of children.

We partnered with RDH Magazine to engage dental hygienists in the campaign.

Five hygienists were honored for their outstanding service to underprivileged communities.

Hundreds of oral health advocates accessed our free social media kit and downloadable educational materials.

The campaign was sponsored by Dentsply Sirona, Darby Dental, and The Brewer Company.
