Guilder Farm located at the Jug End State Reservation, So. Egremont MA is scheduled to be demolished by the Commonwealth. For years I have been visiting the farm's decaying buildings to photograph them.
The Exterior
Guilder Farm's main house had an attached east facade. An annex building was separated from the main house block by a set of curved stone steps up to what may have been a garden. Beside the steps is a fountain built into the stone retaining wall. In the spring water still trickles down from the upper level into the fountain's stone basin.

Main House Interior
The opportunity to photograph the interior was unexpected. All doors and windows were always boarded up except for one visit when I saw a side door next to the east facade had fallen down. It was pitch black inside and I did not trust the floor to bear my weight. I took a few steps inside and photographed with my flash. The remnants of the wallpaper amazed me as did the window seats and the expansive stone fireplace.
