Amanda Blankenship, PE and Michelle Willis Honored as Women of Vision

DEA’s Amanda Blankenship, PE and Michelle Willis are honored to be among other individuals recognized for shaping the built environment with their technical skill, leadership, mentoring, community involvement, and creating opportunities for the future generations of women in the industry.

Amanda Blankenship, PE

With expertise that encompasses all facets of bridge engineering, Amanda Blankenship, PE. Her work impacts the built environment in profound ways. Amanda’s experience and commitment are reflected in more than 45 bridge replacement projects in Oregon. In approaching project work, Amanda digs deep to uncover the greater purpose and reasons behind a project so that her teams exceed client expectations. Her respect for each client’s vision and goals has earned glowing reviews, including the comment, “I wish I could have this team on every rural bridge project.” She invests and immerses herself in each project and is known for her grit, hard work, and dedication.

Michelle Willis

As DEA’s Vice President of Human Resources and Merger and Acquisitions Integration Leader, Michelle Willis contributes greatly to the professional lives of those who shape the built environment. She has been deeply engaged in the firm and the A/E industry, providing leadership for DEA’s managers and staff through numerous periods of significant change. If there is a significant change effort or need, Michelle has been asked to provide her leadership, including through times of recession and contraction, strategic reorganization, the incubation and spinoff of a new company, development, and introduction of numerous people and rewards programs, and the adaptation and overhaul of how employees deliver and engage with work throughout and beyond the pandemic.
