Question Answer
Does this integrate with XD? App Builder integration with XD does not exist OOTB currently.
Thanks Sarah, great to hear there is a trial. Is there a ballpark price range per user/site/developer? Hi Patrick, App Builder is priced based on compute and sold in packs. Each App Builder pack includes a certain amount of compute and depending on how much traffic your application will consume, you'll need to purchase certain amount of packs.
Is app builder available to on-prem AEM environments? or only for AEM as a cloud service? Hi Eric, it's available for both on-prem and Cloud Service customers
Where does the serverless I/O runtime exist. Does it use Azure / AWS . How is the SLA for these Hi Sumeer, I/O Runtime is hosted on Adobe infrastructure. I believe we support 99.9% SLA for paid customers in our serverless environment.
Apart from native integration. Does I/O serverless function provide any advantages over other serverless function available Yes, especially when you want to integrate with other Adobe products, there are a host of plugins available for App Builder to easily integrate between other Adobe products.
I am confused. Does App Builder generate deployable assets? Or, do you have to have App Builder to run your microservice? In this example, you can use App Builder to build custom Asset compute workers in AEM Cloud Service. It can then interact with other APIs like Photoshop APIs to transform the asset and create new renditions to then be used by AEM
I am confused. Does App Builder generate deployable assets? Or, do you have to have App Builder to run your microservice? While there are a host of OOTB definitions to create renditions, you would use App Builder to build any "custom" renditions in AEM Cloud Service.
Is there a case to host a headless application on app builder as well or is it meant more for tooling? Hi Helge, yes App Builder can be used to host applications and comes with all the compatible tooling. Currently we focus on employee facing or system microservices, but we are looking to make customer facing applications a first class citizen through App Builder soon.
Is there a case to host a headless application on app builder as well or is it meant more for tooling? I'd recommend joining https://business.adobe.com/summit/2022/sessions/build-sites-faster-with-adobe-experience-manager-h-s... to learn more!
