Get Hired is bridging the gap between businesses looking for an efficient recruitment process and young people who are ready to move into work but struggling to find the right opportunities. For busy organizations it removes the need to sift through CVs, instead The Prince’s Trust team support by pre-screening candidates, helping to fill the roles from our talented pool of young people enthusiastic to start their career.
Get Hired represents a vital opportunity during this unprecedented time. Young people aged 16-24 have been economically the worst impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, with over 29,200 currently claiming out of work benefits in Greater Manchester alone, which is up by 116% from August 2019. These are young people at the start of their working life with so much energy and talent to offer.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Get Hired is a dynamic online recruitment event where organisations meet talented individuals in one on one video interviews and find out what they really value.
Each participating organisation will send a pre-recorded video pitch to The Prince's Trust which will then be circulated to a shortlisted group of candidates, inspiring them about the roles available and highlighting the best things about working for the company.
On the day organisations will be welcomed into a virtual room with a group of prospective candidates, fellow employers and the Prince’s Trust team members who will guide you through the exciting afternoon session.
Young people who connected with a pitch will agree to a 121 speed-interview where they can be assessed on the suitability for the role. Our expert event coordinators will be on hand for the entire process.
Afterwards, we’ll put organisations in touch with the candidates that they want to progress to the next stage and ensure they can access further support to help them to succeed in employment.
