and who exactly is SUN?

SUN was co-founded by an Ecuadorian immigrant and energy efficiency specialist, Ricardo Lopez, and 2 first-generation Americans, a psych nurse & chef, Barb Pangilinan, and a former congressional & gubernatorial staffer and grant writer, Jay Solly.

Our board is composed of workforce development experts, developers, and local business leaders (including the President of the NY State Coalition of Hispanic Chambers). We call upon an advisory council of subject matter gurus in architecture, environmental justice, and art access.

SUN currently has projects at the local, city, state, regional, and international levels, with chapters launching mid to late 2019 in:

  • Albany, NY
  • Trenton, NJ
  • The Galapagos, Ecuador
  • Nairobi, Kenya.
