‘Home’ (to who you are) is a song of gratitude towards a past lover. Halehan looks back with melancholy on how he often forgot to see what was right in front of him, not realising how thankful he was for the person he was with. His mind instead dwelling in the past and in the future.

Like in many of the EP’s songs, ‘Home’ tackles the obstacles of the mind towards loving with the heart. The arrangement is a collaboration with Belgian-Swedish producer Tim de Fontaine (his old bandmate in the duo Mannequins on 7thStreet). The video-clip is the work of Marnik Boekaerts* (Antwerp photographer and film-maker) starring Ignace Wirotius, Timoer Nulens & Eline Hoyois.

*Marnik Boekaert also directed Halehan’s previous clip ‘When the World’s Turned Around’

" ‘Humi’ (phonetically Who am I) tackles personal growth and more particularly the doubtful and self-judgmental search for an explanation to who we are. Inspired by his readings the lyrics ‘I forget who I was’ refer to Eckhart Tolle saying that when we try to define ourselves to others and ourselves we only reduce our possibilities and so forgetting or not knowing who we are allows us to be multiple at every instant. ‘Like I’m part of you’ refers to Thich Nhat Hanh’s views on inter-being reminding us that every cell in our body, our every thought and feeling, is a continuity of nature, our ancestors, and our surroundings."

Press/web about second EP 'Sefless Dream' - March 13, 2020:

'TEMPLE OF MAIA' debut EP (2017) reviews/praise:

Un premier EP mystique (Temple of Maia).

GOUTE MES DISQUES
