The Falcons defeated the Eagles, 24-20, on Sunday Night Football at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The team had 367 total yards, including 310 passing yards, and had three takeaways, including two interceptions by Desmond Trufant, that led to 14 points. The Falcons are 22-1 in the last 23 games when a player has posted multiple interceptions.

Matt Ryan completed 27-of-43 passes for 320 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions for a 79.6 QB rating. His 54-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter marked his 300th passing touchdown, becoming just the 11th quarterback in NFL history to throw 300 touchdowns.

According to Pro Football Reference, Ryan has led the Falcons on 37 game-winning drives in his career.

Trufant intercepted QB Carson Wentz twice in tonight's game - one at the end of the first quarter and the other in the second quarter. The Washington alum has 11 career interceptions and this marks his first multiple interception game.

Trufant's two interceptions in the first half marked the third time since 1991 a Falcon had accomplished that feat: Deion Sanders and Thomas DeCoud.

After Trufant's second interception, the Falcons drove 70 yards in five plays and Ryan threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to WR Calvin Ridley. Ridley recorded eight receptions for 105 yards, marking his second 100-plus receiving yard game. The second-year pro has two touchdowns this season, tied for the fourth-most in the league.

To start the second half, Kendall Sheffield forced a fumble on kickoff return and it was recovered by Sharrod Neasman on Philadelphia's 33-yard line. After a 28-yard reception by Devonta Freeman, Ryan threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Julio Jones. The Falcons had three takeaways tonight and scored touchdowns on two of them.

Ridley and Jones each posted 100-plus receiving yards, marking the first time since Sept. 30, 2018 when the Falcons had two receivers accomplish the feat (Jones and Mohamed Sanu).

Julio Jones posted five receptions for 106 yards, including a four-yard touchdown reception and a 54-yard touchdown, which helped the Alabama alum surpass Roddy White (10,863) for the most receiving yards in franchise history. Jones has 50 regular-season games with 100-plus receiving yards and also has recorded 12 receiving touchdowns in prime-time games.

Jones has posted a receiving touchdown in each of the last six games, the longest active streak in the NFL.

Grady Jarrett sacked Wentz stopping a red-zone drive for a loss of eight yards. The Clemson alum has totaled 16 sacks in his career, the sixth-most by a Falcon defensive tackle since 1982. Jarrett is one of 10 players in the NFL that has recorded a sack in each of the first two games this season.

Adrian Clayborn sacked Wentz for a loss of six yards. The seven-year pro has totaled 33.5 sacks in his career, including 18 as a Falcon.

The final Falcon sack of the night came from Vic Beasley in the fourth quarter. The five-year veteran has 30.5 sacks in his career.

All three sacks occurred on third down.

On the Falcons opening drive, the offense marched down the field 43 yards on 11 plays finishing with a Matt Bryant 50-yard field goal. The 17-year vet has made 36 50-plus yard field goals since 2009, the fourth-most in the NFL in that span.
