South Dakota State’s Mike Daum became just the 10th player in NCAA Division I history to eclipse the 3,000-point plateau after scoring 25 points in a 94-89 victory over South Dakota. He ended his career 3,067 career points, the seventh most in NCAA history

Purdue Fort Wayne's John Konchar Reaches Historic Milestone

With 27 points in 88-82 loss to North Dakota, Purdue Fort Wayne’s John Konchar became the first player in NCAA Division I history to amass 2,000 career points, 1,000 career rebounds, 500 career assists, and 200 career steals.

North Dakota State's Payton Otterdahl Sweeps Throwing Indoor National Titles

Payton Otterdahl became only the second man in NCAA history to sweep national titles in the indoor throwing events after he won both the shot put and the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Otterdahl scored 20 team points for the Bison to tie the team for ninth on the men’s side, which ties for the best team finish by a league team at the national meet.

North Dakota State's Payton Otterdahl Named Indoor National Athlete of the Year

Payton Otterdahl was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor National Field Athlete of the Year. He became the first athlete from a non-Power 5 program to be named the National Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year after he won both the shot put and the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Macy Miller, Women's Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer

South Dakota State’s Macy Miller became The Summit League’s all-time leading scorer with 2,278 career points on a 3-point play at a 4:28 mark in the second quarter of The Summit League Championship game. Miller ended her career with 2,355 points.

South Dakota State Earns Highest NCAA Tournament Ranking in League History

South Dakota State earned the No. 6 seed in the Syracuse Regional. The Jackrabbits No. 6 seed marked the highest seed earned by a Summit League squad and the highest since 2009 when the Jacks earned the No. 7 seed.

Two Women's Programs Earn NCAA Bid

For just the second time in League history two programs from The Summit League earned bids into the NCAA field of 64. South Dakota State earned the automatic bid while South Dakota earned an at-large bid. SDSU and USD joined Northern Illinois and Green Bay (1994) as the only pairs to reach an NCAA Tournament in the same season.

South Dakota State Reaches NCAA Sweet 16

The Jackrabbits became first Women’s Basketball Program to reach the Sweet 16 in League history after defeating Quinnipiac in the first round (76-65) and No. 12 Syracuse in the second round (75-64). They join Cleveland State (1986) and Valparaiso (1998) as the only Summit League teams, in either gender, to advance to a Sweet 16.
