Father Daniel Greenleaf Honoring #HeroPriests

Father Daniel Greenleaf, Prince of Peace Parish, Lewiston, Maine

Submitted by: Bonnie Loubier

Father Dan Greenleaf has been such a good apostle of Christ. In the midst of the Pandemic he provided contact for his parishioners through YouTube NightPrayer, Daily Mass from all the churches, Geiger Parking lot Mass, Daily Mass, Adoration and Confessions at the Rectory window before church was permitted inside of 50 people.

Unfortunately i am unable to attend indoor mass, but greatly felt connected with Jesus during the Geiger Parking lot mass.

I feel much more connected with my parish than ever before. Hearing the stories of the day during Night Prayer helps me close my day with God. No matter the obstacles i have during the day i feel all my burdens are given to Our Lord after attending Night Prayers.

Every night all the priests bring a smile and inject humor into this chaos happening here on earth.

Father Dan has created a Prince of Peace app that provides many needed church resources (Prayer Intentions, prayers, mass scheduling for individuals, Father Dans homilies, Social Media links, Historical information on each church in the parish, weekly bulletins and online donations, etc.) all available at our fingertips. What a great tool for combating Spiritual Warfare.

I am praying now more than just half hour a day with the readings from Living Faith. I now pray a total of 3 hours a day praying the Rosary daily with online group since May and Divine Mercy Chaplet online, 54 day Rosary for Our Nation, Night Prayer.

Because he is true apostle of Christ. He helps those in need by offering prayers, special intentions and guidance during this Pandemic. He gives unceasingly even on his days off. Father Dan could go fishing but instead he chooses to be fishers of men just like St Peter.
