"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

- Mark 10:45

Sometimes the greatest way to invest in and bless others is to simply give your time to serve them.

We could use your help! There are several volunteer areas which could use more hands:

Children's Ministry

We're working toward having enough volunteers so that they serve once every two months.

Contact Isaac Mahoney at isaac@thecalvary.org or fill out the form below.

Communion Prep and Clean-Up

Prep communion no later than 9:30 each Sunday. Clean up after the service. We would like at least two more people helping with this.

Contact Brian Bailey at brian@thecalvary.org or fill out the form below.

Greeter

We're looking for at least one more friendly face to welcome people as they come to worship.

Contact Brian Bailey at brian@thecalvary.org or fill out the form below.

Hospitality

We could us at least one more individual or couple to help provide snacks before the worship service once a month.

Contact Rochelle Dwyer at rkdwyer23@gmail.com or fill out the form below.

Women of Calvary

After a short hiatus the Women’s Group is back! We are still working on putting a calendar together to include the Thursday Mom’s Group and bi-monthly Women’s Bible Study.

The bi-monthly WOC group [used to] meet on Saturdays at Deb’s house but will [now] be meeting at the church every other Tuesday beginning Tuesday February 11th from 10:30am-noon.

We will need to have a childcare rotation so if you are interested in coming and taking a Tuesday to watch the kiddos please speak with Deb Horant at church or email at psych2learn@gmail.com.

A calendar will be coming out soon with times and locations.

Mom's Group

Are you a mom? Do you have littles running around? Kiddos in school? A newborn keeping you up at night? A high school student? Mom's group brings mothers in different stages of life together over one common denominator - motherhood. We can all remember or are currently experiencing the need for community, care and encouragement as we navigate the challenges, joys, and beauty that comes with being a mother. We started as a few mommas from church coming together to pray over, drink coffee together with, and giving an outlet for our kids to play and commune together.

As we have grown and changed and moms have moved to other churches and invited neighbors and friends in, we are now a mix of all the above coming together for fellowship. While this group is [not] EXCLUSIVELY for or affiliated with Calvary Restoration, you will find many mommas from church who come weekly and have for a very long time. We encourage you to make this a time of inviting neighbors and friends to see Jesus through motherhood.

Mom's groups currently meets on Thursday mornings from 10:00am-noon. Locations vary week to week. Coffee and snacks are shared and kiddos run wild!

Prayer Ministry

We are starting a prayer ministry at Calvary Restoration to pray for the pastors, elders and people of the church and our community.

If you have a passion for prayer or a simple interest in helping with the ministry, please click the link to fill out the interest form.

If you have any questions, please talk to Nick Fabrizio or email prayer@thecalvary.org.

The deadline to sign up is January 26th, 2020.

A Look Through The

Gospel Lens

This is a season of preparation. We're continuing to become a new church family, united in our commitment to making Jesus Non-Ignorable. We are preparing our hearts, our people, and our church ministries to make Joyful, Passionate Disciples of Jesus. In order to reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ, we have to examine key issues in our community through a Gospel lens. How can we live out our core commitment to “Worship God Passionately” if we haven’t first repented of the individualism and consumerism in our hearts?

How can we "Connect Authentically" and welcome the stranger if we don’t understand Biblical Hospitality? How can we “Go Show and Tell the Gospel Boldly” if we don’t see our community through a Gospel Lens?

Join us as we spend five weeks exploring important issues through a Gospel Lens: Individualism, Consumerism, Racism, Sexuality, and Hospitality. We will see how each of these topics affects our identity and mission as disciples of Christ and as a united, church body.

Prepare For Gathered Worship

A Word on Worship

The Lamb of God is the great unifier. No matter what sociological category you fit in...race, gender, class, etc....one day you will declare “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Only He is worthy of such high praise. Only He is perfect in every way. Only He is great enough and good enough to be eternally worshiped by every type of person and creature. Hallelujah!
