Those of us that stuck around NYC for MDW gathered together for the first rooftop brunch of the season! Tavern 29 provided us with a sneak peek tasting of their newest brunch cocktails. We soaked up the sun and enjoyed getting to know each other over nachos and our delicious giant entrees (omelettes, avo toast, pizza, burgers, and chicken sandwiches!)
Earlier in the month a group of us had previewed the venue and we were so excited to return back!
May 11: Barre & Brunch
This month, we decided to mix a little fitness with our fun! We started our day at Exhale Spa with an incredible barre class! Then, we headed to Rosa Mexicano for an amazing brunch that we definitely earned for all of our exercise! In our group chat the next day we couldn't stop talking about how sore we were, but it was an absolute blast and so worth it! Such a great workout.

April 27: Relate and Paint
Relate & Paint is a New York-based organization that facilitates an experiential, arts-based team building event that enables groups of all sizes to bond, connect, and converse on a deeper level.
Relate & Paint also launched the Empower Girls program to provide empowerment workshops to girls of diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds in NY and NJ.
Empower Girls is working to make sure each and every girl knows just how amazing she is by providing her with a secure and encouraging environment, enabling girls to find their voice and harness the potential of their talents, gifts, and individuality.
We had an amazing time getting to know one another while expressing ourselves creatively and making pieces highlighting our favorite mottos, quotes, and affirmations.
April 12-14: Project G.L.A.M. with W Girls NYC
As most of you know by now, our Squad is about way more than just a fun brunch. We love participating in activities that give back to the community in some way. We are always thrilled when we find meaningful ways to help others.
Project G.L.A.M. provides underprivileged young women with prom dresses and accompanying accessories so they can fully enjoy their prom experience. Every year WGIRLS creates an amazing pop up prom boutique in Manhattan and have an amazing weekend helping young ladies select their gowns.
We had an absolute blast helping these deserving young ladies find the gowns of their dreams! Many of us were choking back tears all weekend because it was so emotional.
Over 50 of our volunteers were able to help 756 girls total find their perfect prom outfits. Thank you to all who donated their time and/or gowns this weekend!
After-party at Ainsworth FiDi:
To celebrate the end of an amazing weekend of service with W Girls we hosted an after-party at Ainsworth FiDi! Only a handful of ladies attended (many of our volunteers were absolutely exhausted from all the hard work that weekend!) But, we had an absolute blast hanging out, snacking, and getting to know one another!
March 23, 2019: 1 Year Anniversary Brunch and Speakeasy Party at The Factory 380
It is hard to believe that NYC Brunch Squad is officially 1 year old! Huge thank you to the 750+ amazing women who make this group so incredible.
We had so much fun celebrating all of the amazing friendships that have formed in our group over the last year. We kicked off the event with some cocktails and mingling by the stunning bar:

March 9, 2019: Diane von Furstenberg + Vital Voices #powertoempower Mentoring Walk
Vital Voices Global Partnership identifies, provides training for and invests in creative and fearless women leaders creating change in their communities and around the world. Guided by the belief that women are essential to progress in their communities, Vital Voices searches the world for women leaders with daring vision, who we then partner with to make that vision a reality through grants, skill-building training, network expansion, mentorship and guidance to accelerate change on a global scale.
We enjoyed a refreshing walk along the High-Line; getting to know mentors as well as some of the other members of our Squad. Then we all met back at DVF's studio for an incredible panel discussion featuring Diane von Furstenberg, Alyse Nelson, Danielle Saint-Lot and Chessy Prout. Many of us were moved to tears! Their stories were so inspiring.
Finally, we enjoyed shopping in the store knowing that 20% of the proceeds were benefiting VV Grow, a Vital Voices global accelerator program for women entrepreneurs.
February 17, 2019: Galentine's Day Brunch Party at Monarch Rooftop
25 of our members gathered at the beautiful Monarch Rooftop for an afternoon of celebrating gal pals (and brunch of course!). Our event was made extra special by beautiful gift bags filled with products from incredible women-owned businesses and by More Love Letters, an organization that sends handwritten letters to people all over the world in need of a little love.

January 26, 2019: Brunch at the iconic While We Were Young
Our first brunch of 2019 could not have been more magical! Weeks after this brunch our attendees were still raving about the amazing group of women that attended, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere of While We Were Young. Looking forward to returning soon!
December 15, 2018: Brunch with a Social Media Expert @ PS Kitchen!
30 beautiful members of our Squad gathered around the upstairs of PS Kitchen on Saturday for the opportunity of a lifetime! We brunched with a social media expert who has extensive experience working for major brands. Each table had an empty seat at it so that our guest could rotate around to all of the tables and engage in small, informal discussions with all of our members - answering any questions they had and offering all kinds of tricks of the trade! Our plant-based food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the best part about PS Kitchen is that they donate all of their profits to charity. Thanks to all the ladies who came out to join us!

September 30, 2018: W Girls Charity Dance Fitness Class at 305 Fitness
WGIRLS Inc. is a philanthropic organization of women dedicated to empowering women and children in underserved communities by volunteering and providing support. Over the last five years, the NYC chapter has led efforts to outfit over 14,000 young women for prom through Project G.L.A.M. We sent our Squad to their fitness fundraiser at 305 Fitness South Beach Studio for an original 305 cardio dance class and it was SO fun! The live DJ really got our energy up - which we desperately needed! The class was definitely an intense workout! We were all sore the next day. We also were treated to a wellness and health brand goodie bag! If you haven't been to 305 Fitness yet - definitely go check it out!
