Ithan Elementary School Hosts Annual Field Day October 9, 2018

Ithan Elementary School students got active at the school's annual Field Day celebration on October 9.

The event, now in its 46th year, is organized by Physical Education teacher Tim Midgett and Health/Wellness teacher Deb Keyser.

"Field Day and Bar-B-Que Lunch was a great success," IES principal Tronya Boylan said. "Our students displayed cooperation and great self-control as they participated in a variety of fun events."

Students in grades K-5 enjoyed a variety of stations where they navigated obstacle courses, ran relay races, practiced their hand-eye coordination and more during separate morning and afternoon sessions.

Radnor High School seniors who went to Ithan supervised the morning session for students in grades 3-5.

This year's 5th-grade class supervised the afternoon program for students in grades K-2.

The day ended with an all-school assembly on the field to celebrate the entire IES community.

Thank you to the entire IES community for cheering on our students and helping make this year's event a success! A great (and active) time was had by all!
