We have had a busy year so far at Lorien! From the First Lady Yumi Hogan's visit, to celebrating new expansions. Here is what you may have missed.
Hello, First Lady Yumi Hogan!
We are honored to have First Lady, Yumi Hogan, visit Lorien Columbia and Harmony Hall to visit the Korean Unit. The two Lorien communities are connected by a linked hallway and together make Howard County Park, in Columbia. Mrs. Hogan toured the Korean Unit at Lorien Columbia before visiting Harmony Hall's newly remodeled dining room, Carmella's. While it is a dining room by day, Carmella's is also home to several events including Trivia Night and free CEU events through out the year. Encore at Turf Valley celebrated the grand opening of their expansion! Howard County Executive, Allan Kittleman, joined us in celebrating the completed wing which includes iPerformance suites and a new dining room! The wing is dedicated to Encore's beloved Director of Nursing Nancy Butler, R.N.

LORIEN TANEYTOWN participated in the American Cancer Society's, Relay for Life event in June. To finish getting around the track, they broke out into dance making this one of our favorite videos at Lorien! GO TEAM TANEYTOWN!
