Radnor Township School District Celebrates Read Across America February 28, 2019

Radnor Township School District celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss by hosting special reading activities in honor of Read Across America on February 28. The 22nd annual event is sponsored by the National Education Association and encourages every child in every community to embrace the joy of reading.

Wayne Elementary School

Wayne Elementary School students were greeted by the Cat in the Hat as they arrived at school.

Ithan Elementary School

Guest readers at Ithan Elementary School included retired IES teacher Patricia Donnelly (pictured above); Officer Brady McHale of the Radnor Police Department; RTSD School Board member Amy Goldman. Students in Rachel Fisher's 2nd-grade class learned a musical rendition of Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham.

Radnor Elementary School

Guest readers at Radnor Elementary School included RTSD Superintedent Ken Batchelor; Lieutenant Joe Pinto of the Radnor Police Department; Villanova University football player D'Andre Pollard; and Radnor High School students Mary Katherine Colleran and Ava Henry. Students also enjoyed a Seuss-themed photo booth in the RES library (pictured above).
