Dereje Beyene from Ethiopia

Many of our Legacy Restoration members remember our pastoral intern, Dereje! Pastor Dereje Beyene is preaching for us on Palm Sunday (March 28th). Dereje will share about what God is doing in Africa, and why we should have a heart for African immigrants in our city. Come and welcome Dereje on March 28th!

KIDS MINISTRY

Our nursery is up and running again! The Nursery (ages 0-3yrs old) opens at 9:45am (15minutes before the service). Please allow a few minutes for checking your kids in. We'll ask if your child has any allergies, health conditions, or has had any symptoms over the past 48hrs. Please do not come to church if you're ill, or if you've had COVID within the past 2 weeks.

On April 11th (the Sunday after Easter,) classes will begin for ages 4 and up.

With the belief that relationships are central to true discipleship, Calvary Kids volunteers seek to lead boys and girls to become joyful and passionate disciples of Jesus for His glory and their good.

Church service on Facebook Live!!!

We are streaming our worship service on Zoom and Facebook Live. Facebook Live has better audio quality during worship. We don’t want to move away from Zoom prematurely, so this Sunday we’re going to offer both options and see what works better.

Our Good Friday service will be at the church building, April 2nd, 7pm. Come for a contemplative evening of worship, scripture, and prayer.

Newcomers Lunch

Want to enjoy some good food and meet other people from church? Come to our Newcomers lunch THIS SUNDAY! If you started attending our church in 2021, you’re invited to come meet some of our leaders and get to know other new people!

Lunch is at pastor Jeff Jung’s home, March 21st, after church (12:30pm).

reconnect lunch

On April 11th, we’re having a potluck at pastor Jeff Jung’s home after church. This is an opportunity to reconnect and fellowship after a long year! Bring a dish to share!

(If the weather is nice, we’ll eat outside!)

Youth Group

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt for kids and adults Saturday, April 3rd. 10:30am at WagonTrail park in Aurora. We will have eggs with candy, non edible items, nut and dairy free candy, and also a golden egg filled with gifts cards and/or cash for the adults to find! (We’re accepting donations!)

Contact Rochelle Dwyer at 720-427-3068 if you’d like to donate filled Easter Eggs or help with the event, the day of. Please invite friends and families, and even single people to this event. This is a non-threatening event that most people would love to be a part of!

Baptism Class

We’re excited to baptize believers this Easter Sunday! On March 28th, we’re having a Baptism Class to discuss the meaning of baptism and share our testimonies. (3pm, Sunday March 28th on Zoom). If you’re interested in getting baptized, please let pastor Isaac or Jeff know asap.

"Let's Unpack That"

How do we understand “Mental Health” Biblically and Theologically? What about depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, (etc.)? Should Christians solve these problems through prayer, medication, therapy, or something else? - You’re invited to ask questions and discuss!

Pastor Isaac hosts "Let's Unpack That” every Monday night at 7:30-9pm. It’s an opportunity to ask tough questions and discuss them together.

Seek God for the City.

Seek God for the City is designed to mobilize many to pray with united, sustained vision for people of your community.

It’s hard to pray beyond our own problems, especially in difficult times. But since God does great things in the midst of troubled times, now is actually the best time to pray beyond ourselves with expansive prayers of solid hope. We will either find God-given courage to pray great things, or we will find that our hope, along with our love, will grow cold.

The forty days to Palm Sunday makes an ideal time to venture into a season of sustained, hope-filled prayer. Dated February 17 – March 28, 2021. (40 days)
