GoGlobal Festive Calendar December 2022

The International Experience Team are running a programme of events and activities over the festive break while the University is closed, from board game afternoons to local walks and all-day trips. Come and join in if you are in Sheffield over the Christmas break.

We have organised a trip to the delightful market town of Bakewell, a very typical English village. We will be taking the bus to Bakewell which is approximately £6 return. Numbers are strictly limited so please only register if you are sure you can attend. Please pay on the day.

The annual Christmas Carol service at Sheffield Hallam open to all staff and students. Free refreshments will be served, everybody is welcome.

Walk to the best view in Sheffield

Join us on a walk to the best view in Sheffield. Meet our experienced student crew at the Main Entrance, Owen Building and take a leisurely walk up the hill to Meersbrook Park and its stunning views over the City. The walk is approximately 3km so please wear sensible shoes and warm clothes.

Indoor Climbing Session

28 Dec | 10 am - 1 pm

Join us for a fun climbing session at the Foundry Climbing Centre, a short walk from City Campus. Meet our ambassadors at the main University entrance at 10am and they will lead you to the centre and guide you through the process. The price is £5, please bring your student ID.

Trip to Nottingham

Join us for a trip to the historic city of Nottingham, home of Robin Hood and the impressive Nottingham Castle. We will also include a short trip by bus to Wollaton Hall, home of many Batman films. Train tickets cost approximately £11 return with a railcard. Please also bring £4.50 for the bus fare to Wollaton Hall.
