i need a drink, craft chicharon... ...BACON, COOKIES and some drunken lechon!

I am a living testimony that everything on this post is delicious.

From the makers of lechon in San Juan since 1947, Leonardo's Native Lechon surely has come a long way. They served some of the best tasting lechon in the city, and when stuffed lechons were trending, they easily dived into the concept, and what resulted to the CARNIVORE LECHON - or the best Sausage Stuffed Lechon that you have ever had, sans the sauce!

And this year, they recently collaborated with the guys from Pedro Craft Brewery and unveiled THE DRUNKEN LECHON. Hints of chili and spices, herbs and aromatics, all stuffed inside the cavity, and marinated in Pedro Craft Beer. It's the lechon of the times. It's drunk and it's crazy delicious.

There isn't really an immense beer flavor, but you can get all the sweet notes from Pedro's Craft Beer. This and rice with a bottle of Pedro? YES PLEASE!

Nard Aquino, who is also related to the family behind 49-B Heirloom Kitchen, currently manages Leonardo's Lechon and welcomed us with this divine masterpiece.

It was during the drunken lechon's reveal where I also tried these awesome flavored bacon called THE CURE ARTISANAL BACON, owned by Nard's cousin, and is said to be available at the Weekend Market in Ayala Alabang.

For starters, I had a bottle of Pedro's Procrastination Pale Ale, which is said to be a good choice if you haven't tried it yet. It's light and fruity notes packs a good kick in the end, making myself a bit buzzed. People know me well when it comes to drinking (I drink a lot lol), but for now, I may need to stick to one bottle instead.

The venue, 49-B Heirloom Kitchen did not disappoint as well, wherein we were served their family's heirloom recipes, like the Diningding, Potluck Pancit and Fern Salad with Apple Pinakurat Vinaigrette.

This is the lechon that all of your have been waiting for!

And THIS is the CHICHARON that you have also been waiting for: Craft Chicharon from Leonardo's Lechon, which comes in playful flavors: Tamarind and Salted Egg! My favorite is the Salted Egg Chicharon. More rice, please?!?

At 49-B Heirloom Kitchen, no meal is complete without their famous Chocolate Chip Cookies (have them with milk); and Chef Erica Aquino introduced us with her own version of Mango Panna Cotta with Sago! Both these treats tastes so good!
