The Steaks Are High at Vittorio's along tomas morato, quezon city

The restaurant

Vittorio's Steakhouse is located along Scout Borromeo Street in Quezon City, where a combination of commercial and residential areas abound.

The restaurant isn't fairly new though except for the location, as it's formerly situated along Kamuning Road in Quezon City. But after about a year, they left and moved to a better location, which is near ABS-CBN and other offices within the Tomas Morato and Timog areas.

Vittorio's is owned by a Filipino, who used to work as a chef at a successful Ski resort in the United States before deciding to have his own restaurant in Manila.
Vittorio's is a great and affordable place to indulge on a good piece of steak -- maybe because you want to cap off a day's work, an accomplishment, or any occasion for that matter.

starters

Mixed Green Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette
A heavy lunch should always start with a light and simple salad.
The Chop Noodles is like having three kinds of pasta all at once, as it's made with Kani, Chicken and Shrimp . There's no secret to the dressing --- they use a fresh batch of miso based vinaigrette every time you order this.
The Garlic Butter Shrimp is simple and the shrimp pieces are big and succulent. It's perfect with some toast (or be a rice ninja whisperer and order a cup from the servers)
Beef Salpicao - tender, savory and garlicky.

mains

The Clam Pasta is light and easy on the palate, with flavors of fresh clams, lemon, garlic and a bit of heat from the chili flakes.
The Sweet Chili Prawns with rice looks stunning as well, served with a mixed fried rice and topped with fresh parsley.

and now...the steak.

Medium rare Porterhouse Steak, 980grams
ALL STEAKS ARE SERVED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF MASHED POTATOES, FRIES, OR THEIR EXTRA AWESOME STEAK RICE, WHICH IS COOKED IN THE SAME PAN WITH ALL THE LEFTOVER STEAK JUICES AND CRISPY BITS.

THE STEAKS ARE COOKED ONLY WITH SALT, PEPPER, SOME BUTTER AND A SECRET INGREDIENT.

EVEN THE EXCESS FAT FROM THE PORTERHOUSE IS TRIMMED AND COOKED FURTHER UNTIL CRISPY. IT'S A MEATY, MELT-IN-YOUR MOUTH EXPERIENCE AND YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR STEAK RICE READY ON YOUR PLATE WHEN YOU EAT IT.
This is definitely a carnivore's dream.

Steaks are always better with a glass of wine, and while Vittorio's does not offer a more expensive selection of wines, they do have bottles of Temprenillo Salud available upon request.

Fruity and Sweet Red Wines

dessert

I had a classic version of Banana Split for dessert, which I shared with my foodie buddies. A simple way to end my spectacular lunch at Vittorio's!
