Saturday Brunch at Yakumi inside Solaire Resort, Pasay City
A few Saturdays ago, I went out to experience an authentic Japanese gastronomic journey that's worth a try with Yakumi's Saturday Brunch, a special weekend buffet that features a wide variety of delectable Japanese specialty dishes.
Yakumi is located inside Solaire Resort and Casino, which is just one of the many specialty restaurants in the area. You can visit Yakumi during weekdays if you prefer to try their ala carte dishes.
Gracing the buffet with their presence and talent are Mr. Shinobu Endo, Sous Chef, and Mr. Norimasa Kosaka, Executive Chef of Yakumi. Endo-san previously lent his talents in Nobu, Tokyo and is a master of sushi and sashimi making; while Executive Chef Kosaka-san is a “kaiseki” chef, a master of skillfully prepared multicourse meals (similar to Western “haute cuisine”), with the expertise and years of experience well suited for authentic and fine dining Japanese restaurants like Yakumi.
Explore the buffet's well-stocked Sushi Bar filled with different kinds of sushi and sashimi made from the freshest seasonal fish from Japan and around the Philippines.
It would be nice to stay at Solaire on a weekend and wake up to a grand Japanese brunch.
There's also an unlimited beverage option with sake, wine, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks for an additional Php688+.
Take a bite into crisp and fresh Japanese Salada offerings, or enjoy hot Teppanyaki dishes prepared from the teppan grill.
Brunch is served! I got a plate of fresh sushi, the most authentic sukiyaki, ramen, tempura, and a tall glass of Sapporo.
To top it off, treat your taste buds to uniquely-prepared Teppanyaki desserts.
My personal ice cream favorites at Yakumi - Green Tea, Sesame, Cheesecake and Calamansi!
I also asked for a plate of Chocolate Crepe but unfortunately they only have Mango Crepes available. Little did I know that the chef surprised me by placing some chocolate in between my crepe! So sweet and so good!
